NC Crunch Day - October 20th

Princeville Elementary Students participates in NC Crunch Day, October 20, 2021.

Across North Carolina, kids and adults crunched an apple grown on a local farm in October. In addition to commemorating National Farm to School and Early Care and Education Month, this annual event, co-sponsored by the NC Farm to Preschool Network and the Farm to School Coalition of NC, celebrates North Carolina agriculture, local farmers and farm workers, and nutrition.

October is National Principals Month

October is National Principals Month

Throughout October, the American Federation of School Administrators (AFSA), the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP), and the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) join together to celebrate National Principals Month, recognizing and honoring school leaders for their work and unrelenting commitment to their students, staff and school communities.

Thank you, Principal Tenika Mercer, for your hard work and unrelenting commitment to Princeville Elementary students, staff and school community.

Emergency Broadband Benefit Program

Broadband services are being made available to families with limited or no broadband resources through the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program.

The Emergency Broadband Benefit Program gives low-income households a discount on internet services. The program, administered by the Federal Communications Commission, opens for enrollment on May 12, 2021.

The Child Tax Credit

The Child Tax Credit in the American Rescue Plan provides the largest Child Tax Credit ever and historic relief to the most working families ever – and most families will automatically receive monthly payments without having to take any action. (Please click the Heading for more information)

PBS End-of-Year At-Home Learning Program: PreK-3

PBS North Carolina has released an end-of-year At-Home Learning program for PreK-3 students. This free resource is designed and hosted by teachers and follows North Carolina standards.

Literacy lessons will be aired Tuesdays and Fridays from 8-10 a.m. and Math Lessons on Mondays and Thursdays from 8- 10 a.m.
